The Archaeological Museum "Antonio Salinas" has one of the richest collections of art Punic and Greek of Italy.

The“ P. Doderlein ”Museum of Zoology collects collections containing several thousand invertebrate and vertebrate specimens dating back to the second half of the nineteenth century. collection of Mediterranean fish, preserved according to a special chemical treatment, which has remained secret, which has preserved its physical and aesthetic characteristics.

The Sant'Elia Palace was built on the pre-existences of a sixteenth-seventeenth-century palace, assuming the current configuration after 1756 following the decision of Giovanbattista Celestri and Grimaldi di Santa Croce
Recent studies claim that the architect Nicolò Anito, previously credited, as possible the creator of the building, he may not have been the real architect but only a prosecutor. In 1759 the building will become one of the most imposing buildings in Palermo .
Subject to repeated changes of destination (it was the seat of the Senate), it was damaged by the violent earthquake of 1823.
In 1984 after lengthy restoration work, the Provincial Administration has allowed the revival of a treasure kept hidden for decades.
In February 2013 it was granted for use to the Sant'Elia Foundation, which made it available to the general public. < br> The Sant'Elia Foundation proposes itself as a cultural center not only of figurative arts but also of musical and literary activities.
Collaborates with public and private institutions, individual collectors, club services.
The Foundation offers the possibility of make use of its premises also for congress events and meetings, after evaluating the requests and paying a fee for the use of the spaces.

The Sant'Anna Modern Art Gallery or GAM is a modern art museum in the Kalsa district of historic center of Palermo .
The museum displays a permanent collection of over two hundred paintings and sculptures, from the early nineteenth century to the mid-twentieth century.

Abatellis Palace, also called Palazzo Patella , it houses the Sicilian Regional Gallery . In the museum you can find works from acquisitions, donations and forfeits of the assets of the suppressed religious bodies (1866).

Started in the early 14th century, it was the great residence of Manfredi Chiaramonte, count of the immense and powerful fief of Modica .
From the beginning of the 15th century to 1517 it was the residence of the Spanish Viceroys, then seat of the Royal Customs Office and, from 1600 to 1782, it hosted the Inquisition court .
Today the building is home to the Rectorate of the University of Palermo .
With a square plan and massive volume, the building marks the passage between the medieval castle and the patrician palace.
The rigorous external curtain wall is embellished with mullioned windows and mullioned windows with inlays in lava stone.
Scholars, during the current restorations, have also identified a secret passage that from the cells led directly to the Inquisitor's room.
Another significant discovery regards the existence of an underground monumental building seven meters long with an imposing cross-vaulted roof, marked by massive ribs. The construction of this structure takes place in the first quarter of the fourteenth century and inside there have been recovered finds and graffiti even earlier than three centuries.
During the restoration of the facade, the furrows left by the heavy hanging cages where the heads of the barons who rebelled against King Charles V also came to light.
In prisons, precious prisoners' graffiti remains , unique testimony of the sufferings suffered.
A museum complex was born inside the complex. In three of the cells on the ground floor, which housed the inmates, new completely unknown graffiti have indeed come to light: drawings of human figures and invocations of prisoners accused of witchcraft.
Among the graffiti, some of the very few testimonies of the Jewish presence on the island.
Inside the building there is also the famous painting by Renato Guttuso " la Vucciria ".

The art museum and archeology Ignazio Mormino includes a large collection of ceramics from the 16th, 17th and XVIII, a numismatic collection, with adjoining library and an area dedicated to the Philately , where there are ancient prints dating back to the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies , geographical maps , ancient stamps and plants of Sicilian cities from the seventeenth to the nineteenth century.
There is also a picture gallery with hundreds of paintings from the Italian nineteenth century, with works by great artists of the time, such as Lojacono , Catti, Leto, De Maria Bergler and others. Inside the museum, there is also a collection dedicated to Futurism and a room with the main works of the painter Michele Dixitdomino.
In 2009, following a private donation, the art gallery of the The museum has been enriched with a hundred works of art already belonging to the Cuccio-Alesi collection, in which works by Boldini, Zandomeneghi and De Nittis stand out.
